It was fun because in a way it was like dancing while walking, and it motivated me to keep on moving! </p>
<p>Great music makes me forget about the fact that I&rsquo;m physically exerting myself and helps me get into &ldquo;the zone.&rdquo; I began power-walking for an hour to an hour and a half every day, sometimes at the park and sometimes simply around town, along with maintaining my new healthy diet. Sure enough, after only one week of doing this, I dropped a couple of pounds (water weight and a little bit of fat)! If power-walking for an hour is way too much for you, try half an hour, or even just fifteen minutes. Every little bit counts. If you&rsquo;re tired, for example from a long day of work, going out into the crisp evening air and walking briskly with a bit of upbeat music may be just what you need to regain some energy.
